The Lytchett Minster and Upton Gardening Club was established in 1942 and is affiliated to the R.H.S.

The club is
for everyone interested in plants and gardening, and you are very welcome to join us no matter what type of garden you have, be it large or small, established or new, a conservatory,an allotment, a windowbox or pot plants on the patio. We want to encourage interest in all aspects  of gardening in our community, providing opportunities for our members to share gardening experience and increasing knowledge of plants and gardens.

Some of our activities:
  • Local speakers give talks on both gardening subjects (traditional and modern), and topics of local interest in the Dorset area. After the talk there is ample opportunity to ask questions, and socialise over tea/coffee and biscuits.
  • A Spring Sale every May in the Upton Community Centre organised by members who bring their home grown surplus plants to sell to the local community.
  • An annual general meeting in November followed by a buffet supper for the members.
